The need for barriers in and around buildings to protect people is set out in BS 6180:2011. In this case, the difference in height between the two levels clearly required the protection of a balustrade. If a balustrade is on top of a wall, such as a low parapet wall, the finished height of the handrail should be measured from the top of the wall, and not the ground. This is because the wall could constitute a step.
The same style of balustrade is used both on the balcony and in the garden. However, due to the unique nature of the installation, it had to be executed differently. The differences between the two balustrades are extremely subtle and difficult to see in the finished installation. This shows just how versatile our systems are!
Our stainless steel balustrade systems are extremely adaptable, and we create a balustrade that is unique to you. The below list of options is not exhaustive!
