Its always enthusing to be involved in a project that’s looking ahead to better times. Especially at the minute, when looking online is the closest most of us are getting to a holiday. Its been predicted that staycations will be on the rise – do you agree? Or are you itching to go abroad as soon as travel restrictions allow? These high end lodges are tucked away in a beautiful location in west Scotland. With the stunning views from the lodge, a post and glass balustrade was chosen to complement the lodge whilst not distracting from the view.
The posts were supplied in 316 grade, mirror polished stainless steel to withstand the harsh elements. In coastal areas it is important to use mirror polished stainless steel, in order to prevent t-staining. T-staining isn’t rust, and it doesn’t compromise the structural integrity of the steel, but it does leave ugly discolouration on the metal.
With our White Glove service, all the posts were fully fabricated and assembled and supplied with A4 stainless steel fixings. The posts also had to be different heights around the patio, as the balustrade around the hot tub is taller, with frosted glass to act as a privacy screen. This was at no extra cost as all posts are made in-house, so can be manufactured to your exact requirements. Based on experience from previous projects in similar situations, we included bespoke reinforcements to end posts and gate hardware in order to withstand the elements.
