Post and Cable Railing System
Our customer was commissioned to update several luxury lodges tucked away in the beautiful surroundings of South Norfolk’s Waveney Valley. On the edge of the Broads, Britain’s magical waterland, the luxury lodges have fabulous views across the marshes. A stainless steel post and cable system was the perfect choice, so as to minimize disruptions to the view.

Building Regulations
It is important to remember that Doc K, BS5395 Part 1 & BS6180 require that for buildings where likely users include children under 5 years of age that:
- There should not be gaps in balustrades which permit a sphere of 100mm to pass through (this does not apply to the triange formed by the tread and riser, except in dwellings and flats, provided the barrier line is not more than 50mm above the pitch line)
- That children should not readily be able to climb the guarding
