Blue coloured glass
In this commercial project, a couple of styles of stainless steel handrail were combined with coloured glass for a seamless finish. According to BS 6180:2011 Barriers In and Around Buildings, staircases wider than 1000mm must have a handrail on both sides. Therefore one handrail had to be wall mounted whilst the other went straight onto the glass; a combination of handrail brackets and slotted components were used. All of our components are finished to the same high standard of stainless steel, so there are endless combinations.
Coloured glass comes in both monolithic and laminated glass. Any colour or patterned interlayer can be incorporated into the lamination process. It’s the perfect way to use your balustrade to reflect the company branding! Contact us for more information on what types of glass are available.
