Coloured Base Channel
Easy Adjust dry glaze channel is available in 4 finishes as standard; mill aluminium, anodised aluminium, stainless effect and RAL7016 Anthracite Grey. Mill Aluminium base channel can be powder coated to any standard RAL colour you like. Whilst we don’t stock the channel is different colours, we can get it powder coated if required. In this project we supplied the base channel finished to a RAL9005 black, to match the rest of the installation.
Our Easy Adjust range of base channels are anodised to 25 microns, which is much higher than the industry standard 15 microns. This makes it an excellent choice for use in hostile environments, such as coastal areas or in pools. The channels also have inbuilt drainage, which can be enhanced by drainage spacers. Experience has taught us you can never eliminate water getting into a balustrade, but we can ensure it has a way to get back out again! This is important, as a build-up of water within the channel can cause glass delamination and breakages. We would always recommend that you use toughened and laminated glass. In a frameless balustrade, the glass forms the structural element, so must be strong enough to withstand the day to day usage. Also when used above floor level, laminated glass is needed so that even in the unlikely event that a panel breaks, the balustrade still forms a barrier.
With our White Glove Assembly Service, we can cut and mitre Easy Adjust base channel to your exact requirements and dimensions, ready for easy installation on site. We recommend customers make use of this service as the aluminium channel can be difficult to cut on site if the correct equipment isn’t available. We can also manufacture bespoke corners, for situations where the corners need to be different lengths.
